Kickoff Oct 29-30 Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee

sitting bull“Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee” is the true story of how the U.S. government policy of assimilation, and the actions taken to carry out that policy, affected Native Americans.

The movie opens at The Battle of LIttle Bighorn (Custer’s Last Stand) which took place in June 1876.   The movie ends with the Wounded Knee Massacre in December 1890.  This was the last major conflict of the “Indian American Wars”.
