October 9, 1967 Ernesto Che Guevara Killed in Firefight with Bolivian Army

“One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.”

There are varied opinions of Che Guevara.  Some believe that the Argentinian trained doctor and author, based on who he supported and who he fought against, was a terrorist in support of Communism.  Others believe him to be a hero for fighting against illegitimate regimes who were not supported by ordinary citizens but by outside influences, especially the United States and the CIA.

Ironically, his face has now become an icon of revolution seen on t-shirts, posters and coffee mugs around the world.   In my opinion, this is exactly what he would NOT have wanted.
