Tragedy

Sean Taylor, a member of the Washington Redskins and University of Miami graduate, died this morning at 5:30am as a result of his injuries from being shot during a home invasion in his Palmetto Bay, FL home.

First amendment at Univ of Florida

Yesterday in Gainesville, FL former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez gave his first speech since resigning his position.  The student newspaper, The Alligator, has the story here.

U.S. Supreme Court – 2nd amendment case next year

Parker v. D.C. (2008) 
The US Supreme Court has decided to hear arguments in a case regarding the Washington, D.C. gun ban.  The NY Times article is here.  The case will be argued in front of the 9 justices in March, with a written decision expected in June.
